The Starving Activist is the sometimes-home for words. AR Neal (that’s me) finds them, cultivates them, and leaves them here. Enjoy.

Scribe's Cave Picture Prompt: Just In Time for the Holidays

"Mrs. Crabtree? Do we have to leave?" Susie had tears in her eyes as she looked up at her second grade teacher. The woman wearily smiled at the child and then looked at the other students, who watched with anxious faces. "Don't you want to go to the lovely new school, Susie? It's bright and safe. Just in time for the holidays, yes? How wonderful is that? Your parents won't worry about you over there like they do with you all being here. Won't that be nice?"George sniffled. "But will Gulliver come along?"Mrs. Crabtree glanced up. She'd done her best not to think about the picture, which had most likely been the cause of the catastrophe. "No, lad. Gulliver won't be coming."

Merry Christmas! Honest!Yeah, I know -- these 124 words were a bit bleak, but there is hope in there. Didn't you see it? The new school? No creepy Gulliver? You might need to visit the prompt (just click on either image) and then go to the page from where all the photos came to see the Gulliver photo up close.Anyway, I pray that you have a wonderful Christmas this week and that your pockets are filled with all the abundant blessings your heart desires.
