The Starving Activist is the sometimes-home for words. AR Neal (that’s me) finds them, cultivates them, and leaves them here. Enjoy.

Scribe's Cave Picture Prompt: Darkness Falls on Anytown

We had driven for miles and I feel no closer to the destination. We are trying to reach the sanctuary because the fallout is moving quickly. If we don't get there by tomorrow, we might suffer the fate of those we left back at the shore.I am sleepy. I can't keep my eyes open, but I don't want to rest here. This place seems too perfect, to ready to accept us, even though no one visible is here.I don't know what is on the far side of this little Anytown, but I am willing to find out as a way to avoid stopping now.

I offer these 106 words for this week's SCPP. Click the photo to visit the prompt and add your thoughts.
