The Starving Activist is the sometimes-home for words. AR Neal (that’s me) finds them, cultivates them, and leaves them here. Enjoy.

Scribe's Cave Picture Prompt: Beneath

I figure I'll record until the batteries run out.Everyone else got away, I think. Anyway, I heard them running but after a while I was so caught up in my own survival that I stopped listening. I hope they got away.We were on holiday and the guy at the coffee shop told us about this secret party. A rave in the tunnel beneath the city -- what could be more fun, right? Rainey didn't want to come, said she'd stay back at the hotel. I'm glad because she'll probably be the one to get this video first and can tell the whole story. At first it was cool. We followed the signs and everything was just like the coffee shop guy said. Once we got past the shaft of light we were supposed to just about be there.Problem was, we never saw anyone else. And there wasn't any music. When we got to the dead end, we knew we were in trouble. The warning about Walkers and the breathing we could hear from somewhere. We ran but I twisted my ankle, told the others to keep going. Now it's just me.And the breathing.

It's almost time for the new season of The Walking Dead to start, so what else would I focus my 196 words on after seeing the word 'walkers' in the wall of the tunnel for this week's SCPP? Since there are two photos this week, click the underlined end to the last sentence to visit the page and give us your thoughts.
